What is Judas Swing?
In ICT's framework, the Judas Swing is the first move of a session that runs the wrong way. It takes out liquidity on one side, lures traders in, and then reverses. It is the manipulation phase of Power of Three seen through one session window.
Judas Swing watches one session window, New York AM from 07:00 to 10:00 UTC by default. When the session ends against its opening move, the script puts an arrow at the false high or low and draws a line from the session open to it.
This is a closed-source premium script. It runs on Altrady's servers, so only its output reaches your chart and its code is not published.
How to use Judas Swing
- A Judas high. The session pushed up first, then reversed and closed below its open. The early high is where buyers were lured in, and their stops sit below.
- A Judas low. The session pushed down first, then reversed and closed above its open. The early low swept the sellers' side.
- Combined with other tools. A Judas Swing that runs into an old high or low, or into a killzone range, is the stronger read. Liquidity and ICT Sessions mark those levels.
- Reading it after the fact. The swing is only confirmed when the session ends, so the marker is a record of what the session did. Traders use it to learn how a market behaves around that window.

How it works
The script records the session's open, high and low from its first bar to its last, and reads the direction of the opening move from the first bar of the session. When the session ends, it compares the last close with the session open.
If the session started up and closed below its open, the session high is marked as a bearish Judas Swing. If it started down and closed above its open, the session low is marked as a bullish one. A session that closes in the same direction as it started is not marked.
The judas_bearish or judas_bullish alert fires when the session ends, with the session name in its message. Max Swings keeps the most recent ten on the chart.
Limitations
- Confirmed at the session's end. Nothing is drawn while the session runs. By the time the marker appears, the reversal has already happened.
- The first bar sets the direction. The opening move is judged by the session's first bar on your chart. A first bar that closes up followed by an immediate drop is still read as an up start, and results can differ between timeframes.
- Size is not checked. Any reversal through the session open counts, however small the false move or the close beyond the open.
- Daylight saving is manual. The window is fixed in UTC. Shift it yourself when New York changes its clocks.
- One window at a time. The script watches a single session. Add it twice with different windows to watch two.
