What is Session Statistics?
Session Statistics collects statistics for each day of the week from the history on your chart and plots them in sub-panes. For the current day it shows the average bar range, how busy that weekday usually is compared with the overall average, and optionally how often its bars close up.
It draws nothing on the price chart. Everything is in its own panes, and the values change at each day boundary, so you see a step line that shows what is normal for the day you are in.
This is a closed-source premium script. It runs on Altrady's servers, so only its output reaches your chart and its code is not published.
How to use Session Statistics
- Range against the average. The current bar's range is shown beside the day's average range, both in multiples of the average true range. A bar far above the average is an unusually large move for that weekday.
- Volume ratio. Above 1 means this weekday is busier than average and below 1 quieter.
- Win rate. The share of bars on this weekday that closed above their open. 50% is neutral; a value far from it on a large sample is a lean worth knowing about.
- Planning by day. Knowing which days usually move most helps decide when to expect follow through and when to expect chop.
Settings
Display
| Setting | Default | Range | What it changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Show Range | On | The day's average range as a step line, and the current bar's range as a column. Both in ATR units so they transfer between instruments. | |
| Show Volume Ratio | On | This day's average volume as a ratio to the overall average. Above 1 is busier than average; below 1 is quieter. | |
| Show Win Rate | Off | The fraction of bars on this day that closed above their open, plotted as a percentage. 50% is neutral. | |
| Min Samples | 2 | 1 to 100 | A day must have this many bars before its average is plotted. Fewer and the estimate is too noisy to mean anything. |

How it works
The day of the week comes from each bar's UTC timestamp, so a bar opening at 23:00 UTC on Monday counts as Monday everywhere. For every bar, the script adds its range, volume and direction to that weekday's running totals.
The averages are rolling and use whatever history the chart has loaded. On a one hour chart with about three weeks of bars, each weekday has only a few days behind it; on a daily chart the same number of bars gives many more samples. A day needs Min Samples before its average is plotted.
range_exceeds_avg fires on bars whose range is above the weekday's average, and volume_exceeds_avg on bars whose volume is above it.
Limitations
- Samples are often small. The statistics only use the loaded history. On intraday charts each weekday may have very few samples, and the averages are noisy.
- Intraday bars are mixed together. On an intraday chart, every bar of a weekday is pooled, so the average range mixes quiet night hours with busy session hours.
- One day at a time. The pane shows the current day's figures, not a table of all seven days side by side.
- Alerts can be frequent. The alerts compare each bar with the weekday average, so they can fire on many bars of a busy day.
- UTC days only. The weekday follows UTC, which may not match your local day or a market's own calendar.

Yes. Session Statistics is a closed-source premium script. It runs on Altrady's servers, so only its output reaches your chart and the code is never shared. You buy it once in the Altrady marketplace, on its own, in the Levels & Trendlines bundle or in the Altrady Complete Suite, and it needs a paid Altrady plan to run. It is also included with your first annual Premium subscription.
Use the Get it in Altrady button on this page to open its listing in the Altrady marketplace. Once it is in your account, open the indicator picker on any chart in Altrady Charts and add Session Statistics like any other indicator. Turn on Show Win Rate in its settings panel.
